Northern Soul legend Nolan Porter broke onto the recording scene in the early 70’s after appearing on the top US music TV show ‘Soul Train’. Even though the release of his solo recordings only spanned a period of 2 years, the quality of his work has had a lasting influence down the years.. Paul Weller also cut a new version of the Nolan tune “If I Could Only Be Sure”. The other classic being Keep On Keepin On. Both of these recordings have remained firm favourites with UK soul fans.
After a 30 year absence Nolan returned to record with British Soul boys Stone Foundation and is featured on a cd Live at the 100 club and appears on their forthcoming album.
After a hugely successful short tour with Stone Foundation 2 years ago, Nolan returns for a few select UK dates with the band.
