Incantatio is a short documentary film- a mystery play in the heart of a wild forest, where the artist reinvents a sacred ritual of the dance of darkness, called ‘ankoku butoh’.

On the night we will host Pawel Dudzinski with intuitive live butoh dance performance with music set by James Watts and others.

Artist who develepoded intuitive ritual method, became a laudable continuator and successor of the tradition of such great butoh masters as Tatsumi Hijikata and Kazuo Ohno. In his artistic search, Dudzinski takes from avant-garde art the most valuable means of expression, improving an interpretation of his dance practice with forms of expression previously unknown in this field.
