Alys Fowler will lead a walk around the local area, looking for wildlings, explaining what they are an how they got there. Completly in the hands of nature what we might find, no one knows.
Alys Fowler is an award winning journalist, presenter and kitchen garden specialist, with both an allotment and urban back garden. She writes a weekly column on gardening for The Guardian. She has written for The Royal Horticultural Society's magazine The Garden, Gardeners' World Magazine, Gardens Illustrated, Grow Your Own and National Geographic' Green. She is also the author of four books; The Thrifty Gardener, The Thrifty Forager, The Edible Garden and Abundance. She is currently working on a book about bees. She won Garden Writer of the Year 2014.On television she has appeared on ITV's Britain's Greatest Houses and Channel Four's River, as well as the BBC's Cottage Edible Gardens, Our Food and their coverage of both The Chelsea Flower Show and the Hampton Court Flower Show. She is currently one of the faces of the BBC's Great British Garden Revival.
This event will be part of "Where the Wild Things Grow" an exciting collaborative project between the renowned artists Paul Debois, Alys Fowelr, Lynn Keddie, celebrating the annual "Chelsea Fringe Festival" at Oxford House from 17th of May to 8th of June 2014.
