Sarah L Dixon runs regular Quiet Compere events in Manchester. She has also run events in Leeds and Cheltenham and is hosting a Medical-themed poetry event at Cheltenham Poetry Festival in 2014. Sarah is presently touring the usual Quiet Compere format (ten poets x ten minutes each) around the North. Quiet Compere events enlist great established poets and accomplished poets newer to the scene. The Quiet Compere introduces them with little fanfare so the poems (and not the poet's track record) tell you all you need to know.

Jenni Pascoe regularly performs at poetry events throughout the North-East of England, and performed as part of 'Apples and Snakes', at the Words in Motion tent at the 2010 Big Chill Festival. She also runs 'JibbaJabba', a monthly spoken word open mic night in Newcastle.
