Sculpture
Sculpture is an opto-musical agglomerate made up of Dan Hayhurst (music), and Reuben Sutherland (animation). Their first test hit upon a psychedelic palette, the sensorial intricacies of which they continue to explore. Performance is central to their work, and feeds back into all aspects of the process. Sculpture's output includes music, film and video work, and multi-sensory live shows.
Their performances are an amalgam of electronic music, kinetic art, comic strips, abstract animation, audiovisual cut-ups - a mix of analog and digital practices - tape manipulation, samples, found sounds, aleatoric and algorithmic programming and live improvisation. Dan plays media devices and electronic instruments. Reuben plays video zoetrope turntable.

Aboutface presents 'The Space In-between'
w/ live cymbals by Jon Clemens
Aboutface is an electronica producer, field recordist and sound artist who engages in a multi-disciplinary practice that applies a varied range experimental compositional techniques and an investigative process to aurally articulate environments.
'The Space In-between' is a new live sound-painting. Synthesiser played through the painting of the Lower Lea Valley sky; inspired by a disconnection between the identification sound and its source, creating a widened aural perspective of this area of natural beauty. Field recordings of the areas endangered ecology, concrète sounds of construction and accompanying multi-instrumentation, articulate a sonic-interpretation of the lower Lea Valley Marshes' urbanisation through the privatisation of public green spaces, metropolitan open-land and destroyed marshes from the olympic legacy; which continues to facilitate the haemorrhaging of much needed funding away from the local park authority. The piece is an opportunity to highlight attention to the diminishing biodiversity as a result of commercialism though musical performance. Culminating to a one off experimental oil painting and vinyl record. Live cymbals by Jon Clemens.

Dave Draper & Doffy Weir presents 'Lesney's Ghosts'
Lesney's Ghosts refers to reflections seen in The River Lee Navigation and Hackney Cut, Hackney, London. Lesney's Matchbox Toys Factory building was finally demolished in 2010 to make way for a colourful apartment complex, Matchmakers Wharf, the source of many of the images. The video is edited from hundreds of abstract photographs taken within a mile of the site, over 3 years. The film is accompanied with a live soundtrack played by Dave Draper.
Dave Draper has lived in east London since 1973, plays guitar, keyboard, & electronics, and has performed in various bands & musical styles, from Congolese soukous to free improvisation. An early exponent of circuit-bending, live looping, live sampling, & the use of found sounds, he has toured in Britain and Europe, broadcast on radio, & released a number of albums & singles.
Doffy Weir a photographer, has lived in Hackney for 40 years and has a passion for taking abstract and ambiguous photographs of industrial dereliction, and waterways in the east of London. She now edits her obsessional collection into videos.
