Printing Course with Janis Goodman

We’ve a fantastic opportunity for you this Autumn to learn Intaglio printmaking using the Inkwell press. The course will be tutored by the very talented local artist Janis Goodman who has been a printmaker for over twenty years.

Janis will guide you through several techniques: over 3 Saturday mornings you can try out drypoint, etching and using an aquatint.

Course dates are as follows:

Saturday 4th October – 10.30am – 1.30pm

Saturday 11th October – 10.30am – 1.30pm

Saturday 18th October – 10.30am – 1.30pm

Course cost:
Adults £45*
Children : £45

* Referred students of Inkwell have the opportunity to attend the course at a concessionary rate. Limited spaces apply. Please speak to your tutor Kevin or Mark for more information. To receive the concessionary rate bookings must be done through the office in person.

This is primarily an adult class but Janis is happy to include one or two motivated over tens in the numbers.

There will be an additional charge for some materials such as plates – dry point plastic is £1 for 290 x 208mm, copper is more expensive at £5 for a piece which is 125 x 100 mm
All other materials such as ink, scrim , etching needles, ferric chloride etc will be provided.

Our cafe will be open serving breakfast, lunches, hot and cold drinks throughout the day.

**Inkwell reserves the right to cancel this workshop if the minimum number of participants is not met. Booking for the course closes on Wednesday 1st October and all parties will be notified of any cancellation. A full refund will be given to those booked onto the course.
