Italian pianist, accordionist and composer Maurizio Minardi is going to release his new album 'Piano Ambulance' today at Vortex! Reminiscent of Esbjorn Svensson Trio, Nino Rota, Rene Aubry, Michael Nyman and Ennio Morricone, Maurizio's intimate and expressive sound is defined by a daring and unique combination of genres from baroque to minimalist jazz fired up with splashes of tango and rumba. Maurizio performs regularly at major European and UK festivals, and the Vortex's concert is the first date of his Jazz Services-supported Spring 2015 UK tour.
