Scalper- NZ based Scalper showcases the talents of ex Fun-Da- Mental performer Nadeem Shafi- here taking on Tricky type textures with a tougher edge…lots of psychedelic sound FX and samples from Asian musicsand other exotica as well as Eno meeets Aphex Twin type soundscapes… prowling slinky beats with a breathy vocal/rap on top. Good stuff that twists and turns into all kinds of dark and devious corners, sometimes getting really pretty along the way. Tonite is the album launch show for the new Scalper record released on April 18th 2015 in France and EU on French label Jarring Effects…’Moody, gritty beats with introspective lyrics that conjure visions of epic proportions, and an electrifying live performance that demands attention. ‘- music.net.nz .
