'LOOKING BACK - LIVING NOW" - THE BALTIC ART MOVIES NIGHT

An evening of Baltic Cinema curated by a renowned London based filmmaker Charlotte Ginsborg. The event will feature the newest gems of Latvian cinema, especially handpicked for the European audience, and the short 'Stretching Out Flat' by Charlotte Ginsborg. As well as these films the audience can expect live music performances by Annelie Nederberg, Platon Buravicky and Rick Feds.

‘Stretching Out Flat’, depicts a complex narrative that parallels political aggression with experiences of social phobia.The works basic premise - a personalised tussle with photographic media – proposes a doubling and a loss of identity in opposition to mass political protest, an almost documentary exposé of social helplessness in the face of the small afflictions of everyday life.
