KinoKlub returns for Scalarama this September with another classic surrealist masterpiece of the Czech New Wave, this time by Jaromil Jireš from 1970. With elements of horror, fairy-tale, folklore, surrealism and Freidian symbolism, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders is a surreal tale in which love, fear, sex and religion mingle into one fantastic world in the mind of an adolescent girl.

KinoKlub is Edinburgh's world surrealist cinema collective, committed to showcasing some of the best in surreal and experimental film from across the globe.
