Fantastic triple bill, featuring three young, up-and-coming Canadian folk artists...
A banjo songster accompanied only by his loving five string, and foot stomps. A rare type of musician one of such hopeful goodness, rarer still. In the tradition of solo banjo men and women of days gone-by. OLD MAN LUEDECKE sings his melodic gems blending old time sensibilities with an unusual vision and poetic sense.
It is CATHERINE MCLELLAN's voice that strikes you first. Pure and haunting, it caresses softly, insinuating itself into your heart, and just won't let go. Then, the subtle strengths of her deeply confessional, powerfully poetic songs emerge, revealing hidden layers with every listen. A bona fide roots music gem.
RYAN LEBLANC is a progressive solo instrumentalist from New Brunswick. With his own original material, Ryan interlaces guitar, djembe, harmonica and banjo to produce a wide variety of upbeat and passionate musical pieces. Ryan is known for his innovative combinations of percussive and alternative musical styles that give his compositions an extremely earthy and organic quality.
