Screaming Dead-80's punk rock legends return ! uk tour ! hit singles the huge ' Paint it Black., Valley of the Dead, 20th Century Vampire, Night Creatures,etc Even a club in LOS ANGELES named after their hit Night Creatures.Borrowed Time Usa tour soon. and singles and ep to come . this is the original line up from 1979...catch the tour before it sells out. and watch for links to the singles soon Borrowed Time-No-nonsence frippery-free punk with a nod to 2nd wavers like G.B.H great tunes played with plenty of conviction and aplomb.
The Featherz-Three piece all girl outfit playing sort of space glam with a hint of punk in the rubbery bass lines and the full on choruses and general spunky fizz. Fab.
Black Doldrums- Neo-Psychedelic, Drony Rock 'N' Roll, Grunge undertones and Shoegaze waves all done with a nifty narcotic noir sensibility. Nice.
Honey Trap- From the sleepy Cotswold town of Malmesbury, home of the first recorded independent human flight, Icarus not withstanding..Female fronted dark indie rock with distorted bass and moody songs fulla musings on the social condition- something living in Wiltshire can engender. Good stuff. Savages meets something classier, more musically sophisticated.... some Siouxsie in there certainly and some craft to the songs, nice guitar....a bit shoegaze (Cranes) but a lot going on all round.
