Guesting from POLAND.....Jerzy Małek is a Polish trumpeter, composer, arranger, producer and lecturer at the Music Academy in Gdansk.

He has won many prizes and awards and is considered as one of the very best Polish trumpet players along with Tomasz Stańko and Piotr Wojtasik.
Initially his music, with its refined melodicity, was deeply rooted in jazz and blues but recently Małek has been exploring rhythmical elements of European folk with contemporary influences and new concepts of harmony.

Currently promoting his CDs “Air” and “Stalgia” and new compositions, Małek tours with his dynamic band consisting of Jerzy Małek trumpet, Dominik Kisiel on piano, Michał Bąk on double bass and Sławomir Koryzno on drums
