The Order of Bards Ovates and Druids is delighted to invite you to the 2016 Mount Haemus Lectures.
Each year, thanks to the generosity of our patron, Dwina Murphy-Gibb, a scholar is given a grant to research and write on a subject related to Druidry. Every four years, they gather with OBOD members to share the fruits of their research. This year, the speakers are:
- Kristoffer Hughes - Druid in the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids and Head of the Anglesey Druid Order.
- Dr. Julia Farley - Curator of the European Iron Age Collections at the British Museum.
- Dr. Ian Rees - Psycho-spiritual psychotherapist and Director of the Annwn Foundation.
- Liz Cruse - Druid in the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids, writer and workshop facilitator.
The lectures will be interspersed with offerings of music and poetry from our talented OBOD Bards. AN ORGANIC LUNCH IS INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE (Vegetarian with Vegan option) and there will be time for discussion, socialising and viewing an exhibition of original Tarot artwork, as well as enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
This year we have a new venue: Sheepdrove Organic Farm, Sheepdrove Road, Lambourne, Hungerford, Berkshire, RG17 7OU As its name suggests, this is a working organic fame with state of the art conference facilities, committed to sustainability. You can find out more at www.sheepdrove.com
