Born and raised in Manchester, now based in Texas, Clive Gregson is an accomplished singer, musician and record producer of world-renown. Mary Chapin Carpenter named him as one of her favourite songwriters. Melody Maker described his band Any Trouble as the most exciting new rock 'n' roll group since The Pretenders and he appears in Guitar Player’s 1000 great guitarists list. He’s one of the most respected songwriters of his time with a steady stream of stunning albums throughout his career and his songs have been recorded by a host of contemporaries. In 1985, he formed the ground-breaking partnership with Christine Collister and has toured with Richard Thompson, Eddi Reader, Boo Hewerdine, Nanci Griffith and Dennis Locorriere. But it’s as a solo performer where he really shines and is back home, touring the UK, man and guitar, celebrating his new release This is Now.
“…a powerful and vital force in contemporary music.” fROOTS
