The legendary singer started out as a busker, serenading drinkers outside pubs in the 60s with renditions of Summertime and The House Of The Rising Sun and by the close of the decade she'd formed The Race and supported Cream and Howlin' Wolf. In '97, she first paired with sound improviser and field recorder Giles Perring in the experimental choir 'The Shout' and they subsequently formed the duo 'Something Secret' in 2002. Tonight she's appearing with Annie Whitehead (trombone), Winston Clifford (drums), Max de Wardener (bass) and Dorian Ford (piano).
