Although best known as a respected songwriter for others, Charlie enjoys a multi-faceted career that includes acting, comedy-improvisation, writing for radio and composition for film and TV as well as performing live with her band.
She became one of a handful of UK songwriters to have success across diverse genres with songs covered by George Harrison, Tina Turner, Lisa Stansfied, Ricky Ross, Sheena Easton (US No 4), Celine Dion, Black, UB40, Status Quo, Paul Carrack and a UK No 1, 'Ain't No Doubt' for Jimmy Nail.
Five of Charlie's albums have been released since 2005 on her own label Black Ink, which have seen her rediscover her own voice and return to her earlier folk-roots influences. She considers herself a fairly late starter in terms of resuming her own recordings so intends to keep touring until she drops.
Her songs have won two Ascap awards, an Ivor Novello nomination, both the Overall Grand and the Folk Prize from the International Acoustic Music Awards and in 2012 Best Album Lyrics from the Indy Acoustic Project for her album Cheapskate Lullabyes.
Milk Roulette, her 8th album, was released in November 2014. It was recorded at her home studio and co-produced with her long-time collaborator Julian Littman. The title track describes Charlie's father's method of testing whether milk was off or not - by taking a swig. Touring continues throughout 2015-16.

Supporting Charlie is Exeter singer songwriter, Greg Hancock.
Greg has been writing his own songs ever since he first picked up a guitar at the age of ten. He always tries to find innovative and surprising new song structures and to avoid musical and lyrical cliches.
His songs deal with a wide range of topics - from love-gone-wrong and personal emotions to topical issues and current affairs but all share an unusual, slightly skewed view of the world and everything in it.
