Excursions is bringing the Oakland rapper RAASHAN AHMAD to London. And he's backed by a funky live band.

Just announced: the special support act are the amazing London four piece crew AGE OF L.U.N.A.!

It's a rare hip-hop gig that satisfies the heads while also pleasing anyone simply seeking a great night out.

This is one of those shows: all the way from Oakland, California, MC Raashan Ahmad blends golden-era skills with an open heart and infectious uplifting grooves.

For this one-off special, Raashan is backed by London hip hop band UNEXPECTED GUESTS. All live, the band has supported Public Enemy and backed UK MCs Chima Anya and Caxton Press - so they're used to putting their own twist on a rapper's catalogue.

The night will also feature live drawing from BEN CONNORS, who'll be observing the energies on stage and in the crowd and letting that guide his art.

The DJ on the night will be SAD EAGLE. His vinyl catalogue is all deep groove, all funk and all danceble.
