Rusalnaia are Sharron Kraus and Gillian Chadwick. They are touring to celebrate the release of their second album, 'Time Takes Away', released by Cambrian Records. Expect a night of bewitching psychedelic folk...

Their self-titled first album, recorded in Philadelphia with Espers' Greg Weeks and just reissued on vinyl, has been called ' one of the lost classics of contemporary folk music... The songs sometimes have the feel of traditional pagan hymns, at others they could almost be out-takes from a lost, early Sandy Denny album' (Ptolemaic Terrascope).

The new album was recorded in Wales, and whilst the acid folk references remain intact, this is an altogether heavier album. The live band features Gillian and Sharron, alongside acclaimed fingerstyle guitarist Nick Jonah Davis and Big Eyes Family Players drummer, Guy Whittaker.

Sharron Kraus is a singer of folk songs, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose solo work and collaborations offer a dark and subversive take on traditional music.
