"I am being transported to my own past, to a degree, and to a musical fantasy island with Lisa's album. It's exciting and vibrant, and it's daring. Lisa creates an Edward Hopper landscape”
Steve Harley
Lisa Ronson is performing on a mini-tour of the UK in January 2017 backed by a new rock band comprised of renowned musicians led by gutarist/musical director Paul Cuddeford. Lisa will be performing her own music as well as a selection of other songs that have inspired her and with which she is connected.
Lisa’s critically acclaimed debut ‘Emperors of Medieval Japan’ features special guest appearances from an inspirational line up of prestigious musicians; Reeves Gabrels (The Cure, David Bowie), Earl Slick (John Lennon and Yoko Ono, David Bowie) and Morgan Fisher (Mott The Hoople, Queen) joining guitarist programmer Paul Cuddeford (Ian Hunter, Bob Geldof) and saxophone player Terry Edwards (PJ Harvey, Gallon Drunk, Yoko Ono). Ronson’s rare sound is a dynamic convergence of synth pop and alternative rock with dystopian and existentialist lyrics.
Lisa is the daughter of David Bowie's legendary guitarist Mick Ronson. She was born and brought up in the US, living in Woodstock, New York, and later in New York City itself. Lisa relocated to London in 2012.
Press praise for Lisa Ronson’s debut solo album:
"Lisa carries on the Ronsonian spirit of remaining utterly contemporary and winningly melodic". "There are also moments of intoxicating intensity". "Only very seldom does one hear an album without a single dud".

Rich Deakin, Vive Le Rock, 7 out of 10
“Inventive solo debut from Mick Ronson’s girl. Combining synth-pop influences and alt.rock tropes”.
Nigel Williamson, Uncut, 6 out of 10
