Tonight we are absolutely delighted to welcome Dean Atta to SoapBox, our regular monthly spoken word poetry club at the John Peel Centre, on the last Wednesday of the month.
Each edition of the club feature a nationally renowned spoken word poet headlining, two local poets, and one musician (with strong literary ties) in support.
DEAN ATTA
Dean Atta is a writer and performance poet. He has been commissioned to write poems for the Damilola Taylor Trust, Keats House Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern. Dean won the 2012 London Poetry Award and was named as one of the most influential LGBT people by the Independent on Sunday Pink List 2012. He is an ambassador for the Spirit of London Awards for Achievement through the Arts.

Tickets are £4 concessions, £6 in advance, or £8 on the door, if available. Advance purchase recommended. Seated event.
Adult content/language warning - 14yrs+ recommended. Licensed bar on site. Doors open at 7.30pm, starts ay 8pm sharp finished by 11pm.
