Transduction Twentyfifteen (15' HD, 2016)
A group of intrepid artists explore the Estonian countryside in search of unique sounds. The sounds they gather are as etherial, mysterious and often as haunting as the locations they explore. Lets open our ears and listen to their world.
Curonia (42' HD 2015)
Curonia takes us on an audio-visual journey through the landscape of coastal Lithuania using the ears of the author as our guide. The film explores the notion of how one can establish a relationship to a specific environment through an artistic process that involves multi-sensory interactions that revolve around sound.
John Grzinich has worked since the early 1990s as an artist and cultural coordinator with various practices combining sound, image, site, and collaborative social structures. His interest and work with sound combines such divergent methods as field recording, kinetic sculpture, electro-acoustic composition, performance, filmmaking, group workshops and exercises in listening. He lives in Estonia and works as a programme coordinator for MoKS, a non-profit artist-run centre.
This event is part of the Summer Club Sound residency at V22 Summer Club 2016.
Anyone under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
