Help Refugees began when a group of friends started a twitter campaign to send a truck full of supplies to the refugee camp in Calais. After a huge public response, they ended up starting a charity which supports those on the front lines of Europe's refugee crisis. Unconstrained by politics and bureaucracy, they can go where governments and NGOs cannot. Any money raised goes directly to those who need it most. Visit helprefugees.org.uk for more information.
