Anita Barton-Williams
Presented by: Red Chord Theatre0 | LONDON: Clapham Library |

P | Friday 13th January, 2017 |
N | 7:00pm |
New Year, New Us! We ended 2016 with FIRE in the library and we are going to begin 2017 doing the same damn thing!
Start as you mean to go on, which basically means we will be manifesting dangerous levels of combustion for this night. There will be banter, there will be poetry from Spit the Atom, poetry from you on the open mic and a world of imagination from the writing challenge.
Not only this, but we have a headliner in Anita Barton-Williams who is the poetical manifestation of molten rock.
Anita is a poet and producer. Her poetry explores both lived and shared experiences of Black British womanhood.
She was part of the Roundhouse Poetry Collective 2015-2016, and is now a Roundhouse Resident Artist and a member of Barbican Young Poets.
She is also the founder of Heaux Noire, the UK's first open mic night for Women of Colour that aims to provide a platform and safe space for WoC to share their work.
Doors open 7pm
Show starts at 7.30pm
Entry: £5.00
