Shot By Both Sides – London's premier purveyors of arcane, outlandish and fantastical musical delights - launch another sordid spektakular, on Thursday November 20th. This is their first show at the Amersham Arms, and marks a return to the warped wonderland of New Cross, which they last graced over a year ago.

LUPEN CROOK & THE MURDERBIRDS

Gnarled, twisted folk and bleeding-heart candor from Britain's most underrated songwriter. Fresh from delivering second LP 'Iscariot The Ladder', Crook's edge-of-the-ledge, bloody-minded mini-masterpieces pack more high-drama than most can ever aspire to. This thrilling five-piece bring their tales of love, loss, prostitution, brutal murder and heartbroken swine to the hinterland. Their skiffle-flecked sound draws influence from Dylan and The Pogues through to English folklore and Ackroyd’s ‘The Biography of London’.
