Event information

Jam Experiment are a young jazz quintet now based in London, originally coming together at Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester. They won the 2014 Jazz North Introduces Scheme, shortly after their debut gig supporting Liane Carroll. They have played at leading jazz festivals across the UK, leaving audiences in awe. The lineup includes the winner of the inaugural BBC Young Musician Jazz Award, saxophonist Alexander Bone. The band are based in London, studying at the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Expect an energetic approach of original compositions and arrangements.

“Jam Experiment is one of the best young bands I’ve ever heard. The instrumental playing is highly accomplished, but most impressively, this is a band that swings, has great arrangements and knows how to present itself. A really refreshing presence on the scene.”- Alan Barnes

“Incredible” – Liane Carroll

“Musicianship of the highest standard” – Bebop Spoke Here
