High octane swinging jazz and blues from this seven piece band.
One Jump Ahead are led by singer, saxophonist and songwriter, Kit Packham, accompanied by piano, guitar, bass, drums, trumpet and another saxophone. Kit has composed plenty of his own, critically acclaimed material but also plays plenty of well-known "covers", which encourage everyone to dance. He also mixes those two aspects together occasionally, with his own lyrics or arrangements of well-known rock'n'roll, blues or jazz standards, giving them a whole new lease of life.
The band has an amazing horn section and their repertoire extends from Rat Pack numbers and jump/jive rhythm & blues to classic rock'n'roll songs and many superb original numbers with lyrics that always raise a smile.

As usual there will be a Jive lesson for beginners to kick off the evening, then you can practice your dance skills on one of the best sprung maple dance floors in the country at one of the most iconic and atmospheric venues in Britain. Or you can just sit and enjoy the band, the music, the atmosphere and the pub price drinks.
