PEANESS:

Three piece indie-pop band PEANESS formed in Chester, England in late 2014.

The debut EP “No Fun” was self released on cassette tape in 2015 and began their flourishing ascend. The trio have gigged extensively since then, winning “the hearts of unsuspecting listeners across the length and breadth of the DIY scene, right through to BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens”.

Recently singing to UK indie label ALCOPOP! RECORDS for their forthcoming EP titled “ Are You Sure? ”, Jack from the label says: “To put it frankly, Peaness are pretty much THE best band i’ve heard in the last few months - They’ve achieved stacks already and we’re really excited to get on board and help out. The EP hasn’t left my head for weeks. It’s infectious, brilliant, DIY-influenced indie-pop genius.”

Their impressive radio appearances include multiple features on local BBC Radio Wales and Merseyside, the Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1, the Radcliffe and Maconie BBC 6 Music Show, Steve Lamacq’s, and Chris Hawkins on the breakfast show.

The bands latest AA single “Same Place / Seafoam Islands” came out Jan 27th 2017, via Odd Box Records, on a limited edition 7" pressing and sold out of pre-orders in two days. Due to popular demand Odd Box Records decided to press a second batch, which then also sold out before release day.

BABY BRAVE:

Wrexham’s BABY BRAVE have rightfully claimed the c86 crown with their infectious, guitar-driven noise-pop.

Drawing on influences from PJ Harvey, Brian Eno, My Bloody Valentine and Talking Heads, this fearless-four-piece have pushed for a gutsier, heavier sound for their second E.P. ‘Tacky Birthday’, released in November 2015.

The success of the first offering, a four track E.P. ‘King Horse’ (2014 Drum With Our Hands) soon had the attention of BBC Radio Wales, as well as grabbing the band festival appearances and regular gigs across the UK that included support slots for Bo Ningen, Stealing Sheep, H Hawkline, Slow Club, Colorama and Gulf. Baby Brave’s cocktail concoctions of pop music continue to intoxicate audiences across the UK.

CAMPFIRE SOCIAL:

Llangollen / Chester-based 5 piece, Campfire Social, are a refuge from the wild woods all around.

Their incandescent, melodic songs take the intimate heartbreak of Elliott Smith and embellish with golden harmonies borrowed from The Beach Boys.

'They’re the soundtrack to a touching and woozily nostalgic indie film'
- Adam Walton BBC Wales.
