Here comes March’s sizzling Southern Italian party, an uplifting evening of passionate live music and dance performances from Amaraterra, with a special Pizzica dance workshop beforehand…

Amaraterra is the first Pizzica ensemble in London- performing traditional dances and music from the heel of Italy. A ‘Pizzica’ is the malicious bite of the tarantula spider. In order to heal from the poison you must dance till you drop, following the intense, restless beat of the tambourine. It is one of the oldest musical expressions of the Mediterranean, brought to London by a group of passionate musicians and dancers.

Expect a flourish of instruments, colour and movement.
