The Grenaways and MacQuarrie & Toms are two of Cornwall\'s finest folk acts and both are representing Cornwall at the Pan Celtic Festival in Carlow while on tour this Spring...

The Grenaways could be said to be mining the rich veins of inspirational ore that course through their home turf, adding a sense of their own ties to the region and especially it’s Celtic heritage. But, they are a band set for far wider horizons than just Cornwall with a massive and alternative sound billowing through their musical sails…

They are rootsy storytellers, unique in the folk style, with songs that are rich in nautical undertones, influenced so much by the sea, the people and coastal living.

MacQuarrie and Toms are one of Cornwall’s new up and coming bands, bringing their own twist to the growing Cornish music scene. The duo have been enjoyed by both large festival crowds and intimate audiences.

MacQuarrie and Toms combine original material with traditional Cornish and Celtic tunes and have forged a unique sound. With rich bass lines, loops and harmonies they maintain an \'acoustic\' sound but with more depth and texture than would perhaps be expected of a guitar and fiddle duo.
