Join Arabic dance artist Audrey Doherty and friends for a mix of Middle Eastern, North African, local and Latin flavors in music and dance to mark World Bellydance Day.
This is an initiative conceived by Dubai based performer Lydia Tzigane in 2007 that has since gained popularity across the world and the second weekend in May has become an important date in the Bellydance calendar. As well as World Belly Dance Day being a celebration of the ancient art of Arabic dance it is the day of \'giving\' to those less fortunate than ourselves. All proceeds from this years event are being donated to a charity assisting refugees in Greece. But we cant make it happen without you!
You will also be supporting Arabic Cafe as your ticket includes a buffet meal of delicious Arabic fayre which is produced by our local Middle Eastern neighbors. This is a family friendly event. We would ask you to be seated with your delicious food upstairs in Nerve Center Small Bar by 7.00 pm for evening of fun, sparkle and jamming and dance and musical delights. Closing time: 9.00pm
