Media favourites Jess and the Bandits are a phenomenon. Fronted by Texan vocalist and songwriter Jessica Clemmons, they’ve set the Americana scene alight over the last few years, winning awards and acclaim galore. High octane country rock of the finest type, with blast furnace vocals and unforgettable songs, their debut album, Here we Go Again, was described by Nashville Over Here as “A fun, melodic roller coaster mix of country rock and ballads”, and by Gay Times as “Like Shania at her trashiest or a whiskey-drunk Kelly Clarkson, these songs have the swagger of bad women and even worse men.” Their new release Smoke and Mirrors takes over where the last one left off, and confirms their reputation as one of the brightest bands around.
