Red Balloon Music is proud to be hosting the acclaimed and much loved pair, BBC favourites and lauded by Bob Harris himself, The Black Feathers - a husband and wife roots music duo based in Gloucestershire, who play their multi-award-winning blend of Folk and Americana.
Their debut EP (Strangers We Meet, 2014) was listed in The Telegraph as one of the best Folk albums of 2014 and in 2016 they toured with folk legend Eddie Reader.
Their debut album was met with critical acclaim and broke into the Top 10 in the iTunes Country chart, and the Official UK Americana chart.
Now see them perform an intimate headline set in Manchester at The Castle Hotel!
JOE MARTIN:

Joe Martin is a Country and Americana singer songwriter who has always been surrounded by music, brought up listening to artists such as the Beatles, the Eagles, James Taylor and Bob Dylan.
Since his interest in the genre of Americana and Country music has developed, he has taken influence from more contemporary artists such as Jason Isbell, Kacey Musgraves, John Paul White and Brent Cobb when writing his own songs.
Joe has supported Country acts such as The Shires, Ward Thomas and performed at festivals such as Country to Country, The Great British Folk Festival and High and Lonesome Festival with his band.
CAITLIN GILLIGAN:
https://soundcloud.com/caitlingilligan
Young Scottish singer-songwriter Caitlin Gilligan grew up in rural Galloway, now based in Manchester and Liverpool, her songs still echo the wild empty spaces of her Scottish childhood.
Her influences include American folk artists such as Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan as well as more modern artists such as Hurray For The Riff Raff, Rachel Sermanni and The Tallest Man On Earth.
Her music harks back to a simpler time; her songs demonstrate a clear-throated voice with a strong celtic quality while the unornamented instrumentation allows the tunes to speak for themselves.
