Boutique Comedy is a new monthly comedy club made especially for comedy fans.
Here's what makes Boutique Comedy Special.
1) It's run by comedians.
Sunjai Arif, Hetty Austin and Joe Wells handpick the best comedians from the live circuit with an emphasis on innovative and original acts.
2) We support new and upcoming acts.
Our lineups feature some of the most exciting new acts starting out on the comedy circuit.
3) Every show has a brilliant headliner.
We want every show to end with a bang so we are booking some of the most exciting professional comics working today. Including award winners, critically acclaimed innovators and TV and radio stars.
4) we're an ethical club
Some clubs expect newer acts to bring audience members or to pay to perform. We don't do this. We book new acts because we think they're funny, not because of how many friends they have.
Some clubs don't book professional comedians, we believe that good comedy is worth something so we charge for tickets and spend that money on getting brilliant comedians to perform.
This month's headliner - Andrew O'Neill
Andrew O'Neill is an award-winning stand-up comedian, musician and writer. His distinctive voice and alternative credentials have set him apart and allowed him to carve out a unique place in the comedy world.
Originally born in Portsmouth, he has since performed in over a dozen different countries, and has his own cult following.
He is author of the book ‘A History Of Heavy Metal’ and is a founder member of the Victorian-obsessed punk band The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing.
TV credits include Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Saxondale, 50 Years Of Rock Excess, The Blame Game, Spicks and Specks and Good News Week. He also has his own award winning show on Radio 4, Pharmacist Baffler.
Andrew is a very exciting act and we are thrilled to have him as our headliner.
Support from Joe Wells (Support for Frankie Boyle and Alexei Sayle, Writer for Have I Got News For You), Sunjai Arif (as seen on BBC2), Hetty Austin and Nathan Eagle.
(as with all live comedy clubs lineups are subject to change but we'll let you know and replace any acts who drop out with someone just as good)
