Red Deer Club presents.........

THE MISERABLE RICH

Fresh from a Marc Riley 6 Music session, the Brighton quartet pay Dulcimer an intimate visit, with special guests from Liverpool and Sheffield, PLUS its the first Red Deer Club of 2009 so come down and show some love!

Debut album "Twelve Ways to Count" is out now on Humble Soul:

" ...their lush orchestro-folk is so heartbreakingly beautiful, it reduces anyone who hears it to a weeping mess." NME 8/10

"Breathtaking... Easily the best record of 2008" Americana UK

"warm acoustic loveliness" Rocksound

"...pop music that could soundtrack a nursery rhyme created by Tim Burton" Bearded

THE RANDOM FAMILY

'The Random Family' are a small collective of multi-instrumentalists based in Liverpool who combine acoustic guitars, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, double bass, flute and clarinet, alongside stunning 3 and 4 part harmonies to create an acoustic folk sound which is simultaneously traditional and contemporary. Led by a core 4 piece band, the key family members are also regularly joined on stage by members of their extended family who add trumpet, violin, cello, trombone and percussion to the ensemble, resulting in an even more striking stage presence and contributing a further level of depth to the arrangement.

Having accidentally found each other whilst aimlessly wandering in and around Liverpool’s flourishing acoustic live music scene, The Random Family have spent the past year busily writing, gigging all over the country, recording with a variety of producers and have just released their second E.P.

CARL WOODFORD

“It’s almost as if Woodford grows another pair of arms, using the guitar as a percussion instrument whilst simultaneously playing chords. Definitely a sight to see”

(Sandman Magazine)

“He's awesome I hear from behind me and quite frankly he is”.
