True North Music presents an exceptional double bill concert by two outstanding young American roots musicians
Molly Tuttle is a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist, a bluegrass prodigy who has performed internationally with her family band, The Tuttles and all-female string band The Goodbye Girls. More recently Molly has gained growing recognition as a creative artist in her own right and this year she won the IBMA Guitar Player of the Year Award, the first woman ever to do so.
Rachel Baiman is a talented fiddle player, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter best known for being one half of the duo 10 String Symphony. Her recent solo release "Shame" has garnered critical acclaim and comparisons with the work of John Hartford and Gillian Welch.
The Carlile Institute is a beautiful historic building in the centre of Meltham village, close to Huddersfield and Holmfirth. The first floor Jubilee Room is an ideal setting for intimate concerts. There will be a licensed bar. Doors 7.30pm, concert 8pm
