Damo Suzuki (www.damosuzuki.de)
Damo Suzuki is a legend! Best known for his stint as the legendary Krautrock pioneers Can as their singer in the 70s, Damo now tours the world to hook up with the best of local musicians to produce stunning sets of improvised music. We cannot stress how good this will be enough - you’ve never experienced anything like a Damo Suzuki show before, even if you’ve been to a Damo Suzuki show before!

This extra special Forest of Sound will see Damo backed by the collective brilliance that is Quack Quack and Napoleon IIIrd.

"His vocal style [is] unique an inimicable, drifting freely between German, Japanese and English, whilst flowing and conducting the music, rising with its crescendos and flowing with its more delicate ambience…" - Drowned in Sound

"Suzuki’s singing uses Japanese, German and English to create musical sounds that push the boundaries of what comes out of a human mouth. His reputation for the off-kilter suffered no harm when the man quit music for a decade to become a Jehovah’s Witness and, well, a receptionist.” - The Guardian

Quack Quack (www.myspace.com/thisisquackquack)
If you've never seen Quack Quack before, then shame on you! They are simply the best live band Forest of Sound have ever seen - so much energy, so much musical invention, so much skill... well, it's almost obscene.

Like the great rhythm sections of James Brown, Africa 70, CAN and Led Zeppelin, Quack Quack operate right next to your heartbeat and your footsteps. They understand the importance of rhythm and use it to get the good chemicals flowing. This is music for dancing and smiling.

"Three-piece Quack Quack create a frenzied dance music with huge distorted bass and funny little keyboard melodies all backed up with brilliant dancey-breakbeat drumming. They play a storming set, ranging from hypnotic single-note post-electro, post rock, post dance, post genre-defining noise to fast, pumping complicated dance music that shakes your body and gets you grinning like a maniac." - Skip the Budgie

Napoleon IIIrd (www.myspace.com/boney3)
One man empassioned alt-pop legend with his reel-to-reel tape player, Napoleon IIIrd is a man of skewed melodies, bouncing beats and a big bucket of inventiveness... and is simply ace.

"Puts so much heart and soul into every verse, chorus and middle eight that you need a defibrillator... this is not merely an excellent record, it's a manifesto." - Artrocker
