Michal Bak is an award winning double bass player from Gdansk in Poland and a member of the acclaimed Jerzy Malek Group.
Tonight we welcome him with Michal Bak Quartetto, his own ensemble which joins Baroque music with improvisation in contemporary jazz.
Michal describes it as “A fusion of the classical form with the unpredictability of jazz.”
Michal’s exciting melodic compositions leave plenty of room for each individual musician to weave in their own individual and unique style producing an explosive set full of free textures and genre-crossing improvisation.
