Blow the Fuse presents the final evening in this acclaimed series of 'Tomorrow the Moon V’ – women-led, cross-generational jazz projects.

Helena Kay’s KIM trio:

KIM Trio is led by tenor saxophonist Helena Kay (Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year 2015), and features Misha Mullov Abbado (Kenny Wheeler Jazz Prize 2014) on double bass and David Ingamells (Yamaha Jazz Scholarship 2013) on drums. Inspired by greats such as Sonny Rollins and Antonio Carlos Jobim, and by contemporary names like Melissa Aldana and Larry Goldings, the trio enjoy performing a varied mixture of Helena’s originals and tunes from the jazz canon.

Help Musicians UK Award winning trumpeter Charlotte Keeffe fuelled her love for jazz whilst studying at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London as a scholarship recipient. During her studies, Charlotte discovered a passion for completely improvised and experimental music. She performs regularly on the improvised music scene as part of Mopomoso, the London Improvisers Orchestra and with her own ensembles.
