BACKSTREETS X
Backstreets is ten! And we're celebrating the only way we know how with four great bands to get drunk to.
KEVIN TUFFY & THE COLDHARBOUR BAND (London)
This punky-troubaor plays an eclectic mix of indie/rock/folk with his stomping band and has played support slots for Laura Marling, Lightspeed Champion, Electric Soft Parade and Emmy the Great, as well as a number of near-legendary headline shows. Tuffy's debut EP features guest vocals from Laura Marling and was released last year at a sold-out Borderline show. The band are currently working on a follow-up album and taking a break to headline Backstreets.

TAPE THE RADIO (Deptford, London)
With more than a hint of Joy Division and the Cure, Tape the Radio look set to take London by storm this year. They've toured the country with Athlete, sold all copies of their debut EP at Rough Trade, and have been tipped by Steve Lamacq to make it big in 2009. This is bombastic pop-rock of the highest order.

THE WILD BUNCH (London)
A mix of influences from up and coming London band, the Wild Bunch who mix dark rock and country to produce a desert shit storm of a sound. This is the kind of music BRMC would be making had they grown up in Alabama.

WOLFPACK OF ONE (London)
A one-man stadium hip-hop folk show which is both piss-take and homage from the front man of previous Backstreets stars, The Winter Olympics. Riveting and utterly charming.
