A very special night at CLUB INTEGRAL MIDLANDS BRANCH who are hosting the launch of Pram's new LP!
8 o'clock til late at The Edge, Digbeth, Birmingham.
Limited tickets available, booking is recommended.
PRAM's new album 'Across The Meridian' on Domino Records arrives 11 years after its acclaimed predecessor, 2007’s 'The Moving Frontier'. The time has been well spent and 'Across The Meridian' is a celebration of much of Pram’s unique musicality, focused into a beautifully constructed and tautly produced soundworld.
The band use a bewildering array of instruments and are unrepentantly unfazed by the possibilities of performing on anything and everything that seems appropriate. Newcomers to Pram will find a richly detailed collage of influences ranging from exotica, Krautrock and the forgotten film soundtracks that went on to inspire contemporaries Stereolab and Broadcast.
The only band in the world not to have a website, yet the world of Pram is immersed in visual imagery. They will be joined by long time collaborator and film-maker Scott Johnston, projecting visual delights to accompany these long-awaited sounds!
"Pram's immediately identifiable music is some of the most original and intriguing of the last two decades" Keith Moliné, The Wire

He released 2 EPs (in 2012 and 2014) before joining the ranks of Lost Map Records, who released his debut album, The Uncle Sold in January 2017.
