Following on from last year's sellout show at Manchester's Zion Arts Centre, Earth returns to the North West to play Salford's Islington Mill.
In a career spanning two decades, Earth, led by Dylan Carlson, has emerged as one of most influential bands in instrumental rock.
Having pioneered the heavy low end drone sound that laid the foundations for bands such as Sunn O))) and Boris, recent years has seen Earth's sound evolve into one of dark, brooding americana.
Last year's critically acclaimed "The Bee's Made Honey In The Lion's Skull" saw Earth team up with multi-instrumentalist Steve Moore, throwing heavy hammond organ and jazz-inspried piano playing into the mix.
Under the name STEBMO, Moore released his self-titled debut album last year, from which he will also be performing tracks on the evening.

Aside from the main event, we will be laying on a full evening of live performance starting at 6pm, with Manchester's very own Gnod confirmed plus a collaboration between Brittle Stars and his San Francisco based label mate on Marc Manning. More to be added soon!
For those of you unsure of where Islington Mill is, it's a short walk from Manchester City centre and the maplink is here:
