The Toy Museum Folk Club is Brighton's newest traditional folk night, bringing the very best acts to the unique setting of Brighton Toy and Model Museum. Come and watch intimate acoustic sets from the finest folk talents, and explore the train sets, model planes and traditional children's toys on display in the museum.

Martin Carthy is an artist who needs no introduction. An iconic figure on the British folk scene, his work spans six decades and remains amongst the most influential oeuvre in modern folk music. A true collaborator, Martin is as recognised for his work with The Watersons, Steeleye Span and his own daughter, Eliza Carthy, as he is for his own solo work.

We are delighted and honoured to have Martin open our second season of events at The Toy Museum Folk Club. It is certain that you've never seen Martin Carthy perform a gig quite like this, in the incredible surroundings of the Brighton Toy and Model Museum. This is a chance to catch Martin in a unique space, bringing his music to an intimate audience of fans, vintage stuffed toys and model trains!

Martin will perform two sets, with a support slot by the terrific folk duo Hickory Signals.
