'Hard Islands' is the assured and confident new album from 25 year old Nathan Fake, the Norfolk born and bred precocious young heir to the UK electronica throne who has kept fans of fuzzy-edged synths and maximal acidic techno beats alike guessing ever since his debut release at the tender age of 19.

To celebrate the release of his all-grown-up 'Hard Islands', Border Community and Allez-Allez will be taking over Elephant & Castle arts club Corsica Studios on Saturday 15th May for a night of the finest cutting edge danceable electronica that the UK currently has to offer.

Nathan Fake naturally takes on headline duties in Room 1, with a live show that edges towards the tougher end of electronica that is the usual domain of Warp and Rephlex stalwarts like Clark and Aphex Twin. The hour long unstoppable industrial assault of the Nathan Fake laptop live show is a much more intense and visual experience than one has traditionally come to expect from the genre, and although recent support slots for Squarepusher and Kieran Hebden & Steve Reid have placed Nathan centre stage in the live arena, ultimately the immediacy of the interaction with the crowd that you get in a club environment like Corsica Studios remains of the utmost importance to him.

Working together with Nathan we have assembled a main room support team to perfectly complement the 'Hard Islands' danceable electronica brief. Latest Border Community recruit Wesley Matsell opens proceedings at Nathan's personal request, following their first gig together in Holland where Wesley's gradual progression from experimental noise terror through to old school acid house went down a treat with Mr Fake. Scotland's Operator then joins us for a special guest live set, fresh from the release of his own new album 'How To Make Bombs and Influence People' on Mighty Robot Recordings, with a taste of the emotional melodics that caught Nathan's attention when the pair became firm friends during a previous show together in Edinburgh. Finally, Border Community co-conspirator James Holden promises to bring things to a close with an intimate set of his own futureproof experimental take on that age-old business of music-to-dance-to.

Room 2 is ably hosted by Allez-Allez, DJ duo about town and purveyors of quality podcasts via their eponymous blog, where top-notch DJ mixes from an illustrious array of guests rub shoulders with their own impeccable hand-crafted offerings. They happily welcome Caribou mainman Dan Snaith to join them, enhancing the psychedelic ambiance with a rare DJ set showcasing those eclectic tastes that have made him just the man he is today. Visuals on the night come from Dan Tombs (who also provided the photos that make up the album artwork).
