The Toy Museum Folk Club is Brighton's newest traditional folk night, bringing the very best acts to the unique setting of Brighton Toy and Model Museum. Come and watch intimate acoustic sets from the finest folk talents, and explore the train sets, model planes and traditional children's toys on display in the museum.
Katherine Priddy is fast becoming an act to watch on the contemporary folk scene. Having recently toured with Richard Thompson, she's drawing attention from some of the most respected ears about. Her crystalline voice and mesmeric music will grab hold of you and never let go. This, believe us, is a good thing.
Support comes from Tom Hyatt and Winterfalle. Tom Hyatt was runner-up in Fender's Unsigned Artist of the Year 2018. His music is bold and inventive, but always drawn first from evocative lyric and melody. He's one of the great singer-songwriters working in Britain today. Winterfalle create vivid folk fever dreams that bring about swirling visions of modern Britain through dark musical turns and the gorgeous sweeping poetry of their lyrics.
This is a chance to catch a stunning line-up in a unique space, bringing their music to an intimate audience of fans, vintage stuffed toys and model trains! Very much the Toy Museum Folk Club's showcase for the future of folk for 2020 and beyond, this is an unmissable night.
