Basia Bulat: Montreal-based Basia Bulat makes music full of hooks and handclaps to create a soundtrack perfect for mischievous shenanigans, with live performances often ending with half of the audience on stage and joining in. A rare and exclusive UK appearance for a very special Canadian artist, Bulat attracted Rough Trade's attention back in 2007, releasing "Oh Darling" in Spring that year.

The Veils (special acoustic show): Originating from London and New Zealand, 2009 has seen The Veils continue to go from strength to the strength with release of their latest album "Sun gangs" marking the most compelling chapter of the band's story yet. Truly a band to inspire devotion, the Veils pick at the debris of rock excursions previously pioneered by Patti Smith and Lou Reed, then throw their own personality into the frame.

Joe Worricker: A remarkably individual new artist from London, and a new signing to Rough trade records, Joe Worricker possesses an oddly captivating vocal that manages to contain both a lifetime of jazz clubs and a youthful originality all in one. Usually accompanied either by relatively sparse piano or a lone guitar, Worricker is a very exciting artist on the up.
