British Soul legend Hamish Stuart, original member of The Average White Band (AWB), returns once again to The Chichester Inn with his band, but this time you'll be delighted to hear he's bringing his horn section! It promises to a great night of fabulous music, and one certainly not to miss that's for sure!
Glasgow-born Hamish Stuart shot to fame in the 1970's as the falsetto voice and guitarist of the AWB and after they split Hamish spent the rest of the 1980's touring, writing and recording with a galaxy of soul legends, including Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, George Benson and Chaka Khan. He joined Paul McCartney's band in 1988 appearing on several albums and world tours, and in 1999 Hamish recorded his first solo Album - 'Sooner or Later'.
2017 saw the release of a long hoped-for new album - '360' - a complete return to the soul/funk roots of Hamish Stuart and fellow AWB originals - Molly Duncan (sax), who sadly passed away towards the end of 2019, and Steve Ferrone (drums) - a stunning return to form from the undisputed masters of premium quality jazz funk/soul.
