Westward The Light is a remarkable new band, a collaboration between piano/fiddle duo Charlie Grey and Joseph Peach, viola player Sally Simpson, and guitarist and vocalist Owen Sinclair.

The members of the group to combine their expansive knowledge of Scottish Folk style, ethos and culture, portraying the themes that are significant in the traditional music of Scotland, but isolating and expanding on them to create a new expression of an age-old sound.
Westward The Light is a vessel that brings together an expansive knowledge of Scottish folk music and culture, creating a new expression of an age-old sound. On fiddle, viola, vocals, piano, and guitar, the quartet's music is reflective of upbringings immersed in the nature and landscapes of Scotland.
Their approach produces dynamic and powerful results, which have been met with great acclaim by audiences across Scotland and beyond.
2020 marks the release of their debut album. The hotly anticipated release comes at the start of the band's third year together. The album, releasing on 27 March, follows their biggest performance to date - a sold out Celtic Connections show at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with Kinnaris Quintet.
With the release of their debut album and accompanying live activity, 2020 is set to be the band's busiest year yet, including touring and festival appearances in the UK and beyond.
