Upcycled Sounds and Tandem Collective present: Têtes de Pois + O.

*About Têtes de Pois*

Têtes de Pois is a seven-piece instrumental jazz fusion outfit based in Leeds, UK. With Latin and Afrobeat rhythms featuring prominently in their sound they're showing respect for timeless greats such as Airto Moreira and Fela Kuti. The influence of current British musicians is also evident including Shabaka Hutchings and Nubiyan Twist. Forming at Leeds College of Music, the group earned its stripes playing DIY warehouse events and house parties.
2018 saw the release of the band’s debut EP Framework and significant touring as well as some early steps on to the UK festival scene.

Since releasing Framework Têtes de Pois have toured the UK extensively and have performed at some of the country’s best loved festivals, including Greenman, Shambala and We Out Here, sharing stages with Soweto Kinch, Ezra Collective, Laura Jurd and many more.

As well as the Love Supreme Player's award, they are a recipient of the Help Musicians UK Development Award. They have been played on BBC Radios 3 & 6, Worldwide FM and BBC Radio Yorkshire and many local radio stations.

*About O.*

Look up, look down, look at O.
Tash Keary and Joe Henwood bring you a baritone sax and drums duo with a side of dubs, loud noises and heavy beats. Sounds like Noname, The Comet Is Coming, and Radiohead. Tastes like peanut butter and jam on toast.
