FLOWERS OF HELL:
With half of the band based in London and the rest of in Toronto, the Flowers Of Hell are a trans-Atlantic rock orchestra made up of 16 or so experimental independent musicians. They mix orchestral and rock instrumentation while mainly creating wordless pieces that explore the meeting points of classical and blues-based music. The name comes from the old blues ideal that the pleasure of the listener is born from the misery & toil of the musician.
The Flowers Of Hell was started by Greg Jarvis as a studio project in 2002, expanded into a live band in London in 2005, and extended across the ocean to Toronto in 2008. Released in the UK and Japan, their 2006 self titled debut received critical praise for creating classical tangents from The Velvet Underground & Nico and the late Spacemen 3/early Spiritualized sound. It was produced by Tim Holmes of Death In Vegas at the Contino Rooms with guestwork from Spacemen 3’s Sonic Boom. In 2008 the full four parts of their track 'Opus 66' were released by the Awkward Silence label on a split EP with former Spacemen & Spiritualized bassist Will Carruthers.

THE OSCILLATION:
Veering between krautrock edginess and bittersweet pop melancholia, droning medicated
tones and noise driven no wave fuzz, The Oscillation recalls the kosmische musik of Neu! and
Tangerine Dream interpreted with an eye on Pil's dubbed out punk funk, Miles Davis'
experimentalism and Spacemen 3's strung out blues rock.
Masterminded by multi instrumentalist and producer Demian Castellanos, The Oscillation’s
debut album for DC Recordings came out at the end of 2007 and was proceeded by the
formation of a live band which has since played all over the world to widespread acclaim.
Playing alongside such musical luminaries as Harmonia, Andrew Weatherall, Silver Apples,
Deerhunter, Fujiya Miyagi, Chrome Hoof, The Emperor Machine, Gramme and more, the live
act has beguiled audiences far and wide. Aided by the unique visuals of photographic artist
Julian Hand, their live show is a kaleidoscopic whirl of psychedelia that charms every sense…
